Nifleheim is a hell to punish pride. The demons of this plane are organized into a strict religion worshipping Beltar, who styles himself as a god of love. Beltar's priests therefore demand love from his worshipper, taking advantage of the varied meanings of the word to produce an ever-changing doctrine.
